License holder of Chinese Wenhui Daily meets Managing Director of Foreign Media Department
License holder of Chinese newspaper Wenhui, Mr. Chen Zhen Xing, in a meeting with head of Foreign Media Department called for boosting of cooperation among Iranian and Chinese media outlets in order to go through the stage of traditional media and reach era of modern media.
The Chinese media official and accompanying delegation during their talks with Mr. Mohammad Mansour Kooshesh, while referring to inadequate media cooperation between Iran and People Republic of China said the Chinese side is willing to expand their relation with Iranian media.
The license holder of Wenhui Daily which is a privately own newspaper, by pointing out the challenges faced by modern media said the social networks especially in news sector despite their advantages create some problems for traditional newspapers and reduce their readers. The modern media spread large amount of both accurate and unreliable news and information among their users and since there is no oversight to check authenticity of such news, sometimes problems are caused by unfounded news.

 Mr. Chen Zhen Xing, referring to his extensive studies about modern media said today in China students of journalism, in addition to learning about traditional media become familiar with modern media during their university years so that after graduation they can handle news media.
He added that exchanging of views with Iranian journalists about their experiences on transition from traditional to modern media will be very useful for Chinese journalists.
Mr. Mohammad Mansour Kooshesh for his part while welcoming the Chinese media delegation and referring to commonalities between Iran and China as well as historical trade, political and cultural ties among the two nations through the Silk Road said it seems that media cooperation between Tehran and Beijing is not as developed as political and economic ties.
Managing Director of Foreign Media Department, commenting on the presence of Chinese media in Iran and visiting journalists and media delegations, said Wenhui Daily is one of the prestigious foreign newspapers and has been very active in Iran for many years.
He added that media cooperation among nations in addition to providing quick access to authentic news, will contain the domination and influence of media belonging to hegemonic powers and in order to achieve this objective, Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to promote its media ties with China.
Wenhui Daily was founded in 1934 in Shanghai and presently has 14 local offices in China and 14 bureaus in foreign capitals across the world.
