The news conference of Ali Montazeri, a journalist from Channel 24 French TV, Arabic language, was held in special desk of Foreign Media in Tehran Press Festival at Tehran's Mosalla building.
Subject: " Developments of Syria and the Middle East and the foreign policy of France"
He started his lecture by speaking about the prior record of France and countries such as Lebanon and said: Lebanon was the main cultural and political bastion of France in the Middle East.
This profound connection lead yo the election of the president
and the commander in chief of the Christian army for Lebanon. French is in reality the second language in Lebanon and France is considered as the mother of Lebanon, it is for this reason that Lebanon is considered to be an important country in the region.

He said that it was the support of France which empowered Israel to have weapons of mass destruction.

He added that France opened a number of cultural centers in a number of Arabic countries for strengthening its ties with them. This in turn prompts many Arab citizens to have dual citizenship and finally leading to 16% vascillation in the votes.
He also mentioned that although France helped Israel to preserve its security but in the joint attack on Iraq by US and
Britain, France tried to prevent it.
He then touched a 20 members committee which criticised France's foreign policy against Arab countries due to toeing the line of US interventionism, adding that they did not believe that France should support US hostility towards Iran.
